Cap Status

from Foxsports.com
The team is several million dollars over the expected 2005 cap, but some of that has to do with guard Mike Wahle's $11.3 million cap number, which will be addressed before the start of free agency. Once Wahle is dealt with and all the restricted free agents are tendered, the team will be right at the $85 to $86 million cap limit, leaving little room to play in free agency.

The Hero

I know there was recent talk from Donald Driver about his feelings regarding Favre’s retirement. In fact he felt that Favre would most likely retire at the end of the season.

I see a side of Favre that is the” never die” attitude when it comes to his love for the game. I see that, and I feel blessed to watch him play. I know Favre does not want to end the season on the down note that he did. I know he still wants some more Super Bowl action.

We all know he loves his family, and more respect would go out to Favre if he walked away. It takes a real man to do something like that. I would understand if Favre retired and accept it, but that doesn’t I want to see that happen.
